Americans going to Canada to find a job

Nowadays, an increasing number of U.S.A citizens are moving to Canada to find a job. The world financial crisis and the lack of jobs in the United States has provoked that job seekers from the United States of America move to Canada to find a job and many others are just waiting for they residence permit or job visas. Canada was one of the countries who survived to the 2008 economic meltdown and now, it seems that it is surviving o the actual crisis, or at least it seems like it is doing better. U. S.A workers who have been interviewed for the article say that they need a safe place where they can start a new phase and Canada seems to be the safe place they are looking for.

I have been living in Canada for a year and I can say that life is good up there. Life quality is high. I have been in the U.S.A as well and if I compare the life level, Canada wins the battle. However I can not forget that the number of people who lives in the United States is much more bigger than the number of people living in Canada and of course the poverty does exist as well in Canada, but it t is a good country to live and for example, two good reasons are the easier access to the health system and the cheaper price of education. While I was in Ottawa, I had three of my friends who were looking for a job and the three of them found one. Also, it is an interesting choice, because the process to get a visa or a permit is not as complicated as it is in the U.S.A.

It seems that the “American dream” is moving up to the cold north.

  1. I can relate to this article since the family of a really good friend of mine is now on the process for obtaining the residence permit. They are from Pakistan and the best option for them as immigrants is Canada Nowadays Canada and Australia seem to be the two most popular places to migrate to. It’s relatively easy to get in and find a proper job and salary. And obviously for Pakistani citizens there is nothing like having another nationality, because now a days if you have a Pakistani passport is like having no passport at all. Also immigrants in Canada seem to adapt well, and integrate.

  2. i've been living the past year in the US and as much as i love this country i have to agrree with your cvoments. I had a few friends from Canada living in my campus with sports scholarships and tyhey always talked about how education and health were cheaper in Canada. Also, when travelling, it's easier to get in Canada than the US from wich i asume that it shoulrd be easier to live there too being and inmigrant.
